Welcome

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust, we are pleased to welcome you to this recruitment site for our next Chair.

This is a pivotal moment for us as we begin our fifth decade as a charity and set out to deliver our new 10-year strategy. We are seeking a leader who can build on our achievements while guiding us through the challenges and opportunities ahead.

The successful candidate must have a genuine appreciation of The Historic Dockyard Chatham, its significance and the role it plays in inspiring audiences of all ages, locally, nationally and internationally. They will bring an inclusive approach and ensure our Board provides clear strategic direction, strong governance and the right support to our executive team. A Naval background, or keen interest in heritage, culture or education, would be an advantage.

We are looking for someone with the vision, skills and commitment to make a lasting contribution. If you share our values and are inspired by our ambition to be a world-leading maritime heritage destination, we encourage you to apply.

Thank you for your interest. We look forward to hearing from candidates ready to play a key role in shaping the future of The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
